Prior to the current FIFA 2010 World Cup Qualifiers in Samoa, American Samoa has only played 29 full international matches over a 20 year period with an unenviable record of 28 losses and 1 win.

Despite this, steps are currently being taken to develop this tiny South Pacific outpost where mainland US sports currently take precedence with the community and media alike.
